On January 28, 2021, M LHUILLIER OPEC Kulintang Team headed by Lorelay Rulona together with officers; Regional Manager Romel Jorolan and Area Manager Randy Lopez went to the Blessed Mind Mission Center at TJC Homes, Sudapin Kidapawan City.
The initiative was made possible with the help of Sister Maristel Alviar - the missionary founder of the center. The OPEC Kulintang Team handed 130 food packs, 3 gallons of alcohol, ML tote bags, and ML t-shirts, for the children and ministers in the Mission Center. With social distancing and safety protocols rigorously implemented, the ML OPEC Kulintang team and the children managed to establish a strong bond all throughout the outreach.
Subsequent to such an eventful month, February 23 came with OPEC Apo Duwaling holding the Love Drive aimed for the Elderly Foundation Inc. The turnover was held at Purok 4, Biao Guinga, Tugbok, Davao City. 53 seniors received hygiene kits and cleaning supplies like mops, bleach, detergent, and soap. The program was successfully carried out by the coordination of the foundation’s Executive Director, Fe Bada Arobo, and ML’s Regional Manager, Robert P. Achurra, supplemented by the Area Managers: Emily Desierto, John Arnel Desierto, Charlie Liban, and RJ Tabugon. The OPEC President, Julie Mae Yap, and OPEC officers: Carlo Cobrado, Angelyn Castanares, Jaide Lequido, Ray Enojo, Sharmaine Mandabon and Jumary Yap equally played vital roles during the Love Drive.
Meanwhile, February 26 was a big day for OPEC Orient Valor led by OPEC President, Ian Largo, with Area Managers, Moises Ungod Jr., Michael Lucero, Philip Jay Onggay, and the rest of the officers and staff of OPEC Orient Valors in Negros Oriental - Siquijor Region. They conducted a feeding program and gift giving to an orphanage in Upper Talay, Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental named CASA MIANI ARVEDI: The Home for Boys. The program benefited 33 boys who received lunch packs, bags, notebooks, and disinfection essentials. The colleagues of OPEC Orient Valor genuinely felt the gratitude of the recipients; at the same time, they felt the urge to encourage more people to support the facility as the kids have a great responsibility for their lives moving forward outside of the orphanage. These great initiatives show how much of a priority that is for M Lhuillier to create positive change.
